BMJ This a portrait of the late John Diamond, a journalist who fought a very public battle with throat cancer. He wrote a book called 'Snake Oil and other preoccupations' which highlighted the many claims made for complimentary medicines, but not in a good way. This portrait was commissioned to accompany a review of his book.
